The Fulton County YMCA
is the proud winner of the 2006 EDC Quality of Life Award
& have won, since its inception, the Leader Herald Readers Choice Award.

General Policies:

  • All persons entering scan their membership card, program card or sign-in at the Member Services Desk .

  • Y participants should have their own medical insurance coverage.

  • Basketballs, volleyballs, racquets are available on a checkout basis.

  • A complete shower with soap is required before entering the pool.

  • No food, candy, or soda is permitted in any physical department area.

  • No tobacco or alcohol of any kind is permitted on YMCA property.

  • All rates and schedules may be subject to change.

  • Bicycles and skateboards must remain outside. A rack is available for bicycles.

Employment Opportunities:

Positions are available for class instructors, certified lifeguards, clerical receptionists, child care, youth sports, etc. on an intermittent basis. If you have skills you wish to offer and want to enter the "People Business", pick up an application for employment today at the YMCA's Front Desk.

Volunteers:

Volunteerism is the backbone of the YMCA. Do you have some time available to volunteer in the Y? Assistance is needed with many of the YMCA's special events as well as with programs and committees. Individuals of all ages can help at the YMCA. Contact a member of the professional staff if you are interested.

Refund Policies:

Membership-No refunds will be provided except with a medical note or relocation beyond a 20-mile radius. Bank draft memberships may be discontinued at any time with a 30-day written request.

Program - If refund is requested before the activity starts, there will be a 10% deduction for handling expenses.

Request for a refund within the operation of the program must be in writing and refund will be pro-rated.

Cancellations:

The YMCA reserves the right to cancel a program due to the lack of minimum registration. When cancellation is necessary, any persons who have registered will be notified as soon as possible.

Classes may be canceled due to inclement weather. Whenever school is canceled, all day and evening activities are also canceled. A special schedule will be in effect. Whenever possible, classes canceled shall be made up.

During Christmas and New Year's Day, no programs offered.

Visiting YMCA Members:

Individuals with out-of-town memberships are permitted three free guest passes before a day pass fee is requested. Proof of a valid membership is required.

Y Members in Programs:

Adult members in good standing participate in specified fitness programs for free or reduced rates. This is the YMCA's way of adding more value to your YMCA Membership.
