Aerobics - Our
goal: To Move! Challenge your body with a variety of fitness styles to
keep you interested and having fun. Move by step, slide, low/high impact,
weights, stretching, floor exercise, and more. Come join the crowd.

American Red Cross First Aid & CPR:
An emergency can arise at any moment! Would
you know what to do? This program teaches all the basics of First Aid and
CPR. Course contents include emergency principles, bleeding, burns,
fractures, choking, heart & breathing conditions, and other emergencies.
There is no prerequisite or age requirement to enroll.

Babysitting Training:
How do I...? What do I...?HELP! Learn the
ins and outs of babysitting including first aid, safety, snacks, feeding,
age appropriate games and activities, and more. For girls and boys age 11
and above. Periodically Saturdays 9:00AM - 4:00PM. Limited space

Basketball: Youth
Basketball League, Adult Recreational
Youth Basketball League - Basketball
was invented in the YMCA and is still one of the most popular activities.
This instructional league begins in November for youth ages 512.
Practices, games, and strategies are worked on with teams and their
respective coaches. Fair play and sportsmanship is stressed, as is in all
YMCA programs. Team shirts and basketballs for all Basketball
participants. Eleven-week program. Age groups 6 & 7, 8 & 9, 10, 12.

Recreational - Adult recreational basketball is scheduled on Monday,
Wednesday & Friday from 11:30AM to 1:00PM. Recreational basketball may also be

Cardio
Kickboxing:
A dynamic combination of aerobics,
kickboxing. martial arts, and stretching designed for a challenging
workout. This co-ed fitness program will get your Mood pumping and the
calories burning. Easily adaptable for all ability levels. Make fitness a

Company of the Month:
Research has shown that a healthy workforce can reduce employee
absenteeism. The YMCA offers the Company of the Month program to any
business in the Fulton County area. Periodically, the YMCA designates a
business as the Company of the Month. When your company receives this
designation, all employees are entitled to use the YMCA's facilities at NO
CHARGE for the entire one month period. At the conclusion of the one month
period the YMCA shall offer the business a group rate based upon the
number of employees interested in signing up for membership in the YMCA.
Ask someone in the management office of your business to contact the YMCA
regarding this program.

Dance:
This class is for boys and girls ages 4-12
. This is a beginner level class, emphasizing on Tap, Ballet, Jazz, and
Hip-Hop. Classes will begin in October and will run in 7 week sessions.

Floor Hockey:
Youth floor hockey will begin in March for boys and girls ages 7-12. Team
play and stick handling skills are emphasized. This is an excellent

Fun Run (Spring):
Start running today to get in shape for the YMCA's Annual Spring Fun Run
sponsored by and assisted by the Fulmont Road Runners Club. This 5K race
will be held on April 8 , 2006. Male and female divisions and age groups.
Members of the Fulmont Road Runners Club receive a discount. First 75
runners receive a "Fun Run" T-shirt.

Tiny Tot Gym:
The Tony Tot gym program is for children
ages 1 1/2 years to 4. Class involves many skills such as throwing,
catching, balancing activities, large and small motor development, games,

Gym & Swim (Tiny Tot):
One of the fastest growing YMCA programs.
Follow your tiny tot gym program with a swim orientation for your child in
the pool from 10:45 - 11:30AM. Seven-week class includes basic water

Individual Fitness Evaluation:
The Fulton County YMCA will be offering
fitness evaluations to all interested members. The program will evaluate
cardio-respiratory fitness, body composition, flexibility, muscular
strength, and endurance. This will be a useful tool for members who wish
to start and maintain a fitness program. The evaluation will be
interesting to members who are regular exercisers, already in good shape,
and want to see where they are fitness wise.

Mark Kilmer, who possesses a Black Belt in Karate. This program emphasizes
discipline, self defense, and fitness.

complete single station resistance exercise equipment for both men and
women. Instruction in the proper use of this equipment is recommended for
your safety and benefit. The YMCA has a trained professional staff that

This popular indoor soccer program breaks up those mid-winter blues.
Program is for boys and girls in grades 3-6. Participants are divided up
by age group. All phases of the game are emphasized including rules and
skills. Seven-week program will begin in March.

Youth Soccer: The
YMCA youth soccer league is the most popular fall youth activity. League
emphasizes basic soccer skills, dribbling, passing, team strategy, and
sportsmanship. All team members play. Each player receives a team shirt.
Volunteer coaches and officials are needed to assist with the league.
Program is divided by age groups; 4-5, 6-8, 9-12. League play starts once
school begins in September.

Progressive Swim Program -
Swimming is an activity
that every youngster should learn. The YMCA is the nation's leader in swim
instruction. Instructional swim classes for youth ages 3 and up. Classes
are held during the week and on Saturdays.
This program is offered exclusively to members only at no additional fee.
Pre-registration is required. Group classifications are as follows:
Polliwog I - Pre-kindergarten (3 & 4 year olds)
Polliwog II-Beginners ages 5 and up
Guppy - Advanced beginners and those who have completed Polliwog
Minnow-Advanced beginner to intermediate (instructor's discretion) and
those who have completed Guppy
Fish - Intermediate to swimmer & those who have completed Minnow
Flying Fish-Swimmer level, and those who have completed Fish
Shark - Advanced swimmers, and those who have completed Flying Fish

Annual Learn to Swim -
Each year the YMCA offers
a FREE learn-to-swim program to non-members. This program teaches some of
the basic swim techniques. It is a one-week program conducted by the YMCA
aquatic staff and is open to any school age youngster over five years of
age. Lessons include instruction on learning to float, glide, proper arm
and leg movements, water safety, and more.

Sea
Otters - The
Johnstown Branch YMCA's youth group swim team is known as the Sea Otters
and will once again assemble a team this year. The team competes in the
Central Valley Swim League, as well as against many top USS Swim & Y teams
throughout the northeast. Try-outs are held in the fall. This program is
offered exclusively to Fulton County YMCA Members only. Information on
practices, team fees, etc. will be
announced and will be available at try-outs.
Backyard Swimming -
The backyard
swimming program brings YMCA professional instruction into your home pool.
The YMCA recognizes that homeowners with outdoor pools like to spend time
at home outdoors during the nicer weather, so we will send a
well-qualified instructor i.i`0.11t to your own backyard. Eight classes
are held for two-week sessions. Hours ai-e arranged at the convenience of
the pool owner. The group size may range from 6-10 swimmers depending upon
ability. The program can be conducted
in
above ground or in-ground pools. For more information contact the YMCA.
Adult
Lap Fitness Swim -
Adult lap fitness swims are scheduled throughout the day. Members swim at
no additional charge. Daily pass fees for the general public are $7.00.
Special note: due to space limitations with the size of our pool, please
exercise courtesy while swimming with other persons in the pool.

Lifeguarding -
The American Red Cross Lifeguarding program
will be sponsored by the YMCA. Any person 15 years of age and older
who is proficient in
swimming and can pass a pre-class swim test may enroll. Course includes
duties and responsibilities of a lifeguard along with lifeguard
techniques, spinal injury, and the use of rescue equipment. American Red
Cross and Standard First Aid and CPR are included. Upon satisfactory
completion of the course, participants will be issued a Lifeguarding
certificate which is valid for three years.

A water exercise program that concentrates
on developing strength and flexibility. This program is good for the
beginner to advanced level participant. The program design allows each
