Summer Day Camp
at the Fulton County Y.

We offer two different summer camps to meet the needs of the children in our community: Traditional Day Camp & Counselors in Training (CIT)

Camp Hours: Monday-Friday, 7AM-5:30PM

Registration starts 5/5/2023 and the program runs from 6/26--9/1/2023


TRADITIONAL DAY CAMP

Ages: Entering Kindergarten-Grade 8
Member Rate: $150/week; Non-Member Rate: $180/week

Summer Camp is a 10-week program available to children entering Kindergarten up to age 13. Creative weekly themes will keep the children exploring and learning all summer. Camp Orientation Nights will be held Tuesday, June 13th at 6:30pm and Tuesday, June 20th at 6:30pm. Parents and guardians are required to attend one of the sessions. The Parent Handbook will be reviewed. Please note, that your child's immunization records must be received prior to your child's first day.

WEEKLY THEMES

 

Week 1
Summer Camp Kick-off! Campers will spend the week racing through the YMCA's values and virtues while getting to know their fellow campers.


Week 2
Experience a full year of holidays in one week! Christmas in July? You bet! Trick-o-Treating and Easter bunnies? You better believe it!


Week 3
Campers will have the opportunity to practice their talents such as singing, dancing, acting, playing an instrument. On Friday, a camp talent show will be held so that campers can show-off their talents.


Week 4
Campers will have the opportunity to play common sports like basketball, football, soccer, while learning other sports including pickleball and monsterball.


Week 5
Campers will learn a dance from each decade and will have the chance to show-off their moves on Friday during the dance-off. Campers will also spend some time learning about the different decades.


Week 6

Campers will show-off your best camp spirit with wacky daily themes and activities.


Week 7
Campers will spend the week observing, experimenting, and testing their theories as we navigate the interesting world of science.


Week 8
Aloha! The luau is coming to camp. Campers will develop their hula hoop and limbo skills. They will practice their surfing on their newly designed surf boards.


Week 9
Does your camper have what it takes to solve these missions? Camper will have to work together to decode the secret messages to save camp.


Week 10
Summer Camp 2023 Grand Finale! Campers will get to decide which activities were the summer's best and re-create them.

Counselors in Training (CIT) Camp

Ages: Entering Grades 9 & 10
Rate: $125/week


LEADERSHIP & FRIENDSHIP
This camp gets a behind the scenes peek at what it takes to run different aspects of camp! CITs will observe staff and work alongside them. CITs will engage younger campers in a variety of settings while getting to experience camp for themselves in a completely new way! Grades 9 & 10. Limited to 5 openings per week.
