Our purpose defines us.
The Y is the leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community by connecting all people to their potential, purpose and each other. Working locally, we focus on empowering young people, improving health and well-being and inspiring action in and across communities.
Our mission driven commitment to serve all is demonstrated through our financial assistance program. We offer nearly $100,000 in free or reduced memberships and programs to children and families and serve our Y community through dynamic initiatives and programs like Healthy Kids Day, Saturday Night Teen Program, Free monthly Family Fun Nights, Youth and Family Memberships and more.
Today, the Y engages more than 10,000 neighborhoods across the U.S. As the nation’s leading nonprofit committed to helping people and communities to learn, grow and thrive, our contributions are both far-reaching and intimate—from influencing our nation’s culture during times of profound social change to the individual support we provide an adult learning to read.
By empowering young people to reach their full potential, improving individual and community well-being and giving back and inspiring action in our communities, the Y ensures that everyone has the opportunity to become healthier, more confident, connected and secure.
To put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all.
The Y’s Commitment to America is developing new generations of changemakers who will create communities we all want to live in. We envision communities where all people achieve health, gain confidence, make connections and feel secure at every stage of life.
