New Program Guides Available
The Fall I program guides are now available. Whether you’re looking to get stronger, learn a new skill in the pool, join a team, make something with your hands, or build real-life skills as a teen, there’s a place for you at the Fulton County Y this fall.
Browse the full guides on our Schedules page for days, times, ages, and member vs. non-member rates. A few highlights from each area:
Wellness
Build healthy habits at every age. Youth can jump into Fit Kids, Superhero Training, or Parent/Tot Fitness. Teens can try Teen Shape Up or Teen Strength. Adults have options from Couch to 5K and Circuit Training to Women on Weights, Senior Strength, Powerlifting, Soul to Sole walking, and a Pickleball Class. Members 13+ can also book a free Wellness Orientation, plus Body Composition and Fitness Assessment appointments.
Sports
Youth and teens can roll, run, swing, and compete in Preschool Gymnastics, Biddy Basketball, Tee Ball, Golf, Floor Hockey, Badminton, Archery, Kickball, Flag Football, Softball, Sport Specific Training, Adaptive Sports, Youth & Teen Basketball Leagues, and Homeschool PE. Adults can join Golf, Badminton, Adaptive Sports, Kickball, and the Women’s Basketball League.
Aquatics
Swim starters through stroke mechanics are all on the schedule. Families can start with parent-and-child Water Discovery, then move through Swim Basics and Swim Strokes (Stages 1–6). There’s also Adaptive Swim on Saturdays, teen and adult lesson tracks (including Release Your Fear of the Water), Swim Strong lap training, morning AquaFit classes (Aqua HIIT, Aqua Tabata, Aqua Pilates, Aqua Aerobics), private lessons, and a Lifeguard Certification course September 25–27.
Arts & Humanities
September at the Y is hands-on. Make & Take: Strawberry Cheesecake Overnight Oats (teens & adults, Tuesday, September 1, 6–7 p.m.) is a one-night class—you leave with a jar to enjoy the next morning. Handmade for the Holidays starts September 5: Saturday morning gift-making sessions, beginning with Make Your Own Vanilla Extract (ages 21+). Register for one Saturday or several; supplies are included.
Teen Programs
Two standout series this fall: Stuff You Should Probably Know, an 8-week real-life skills class for ages 13–18 (money, cooking, laundry, job basics, and more), Mondays 5:30–6:30 p.m. And Young Entrepreneurs Club for ages 10–15, Wednesdays 5:30–6:30 p.m.—dream it, build it, sell it, then open a real pop-up at the Y in the final week.
