Beat the Winter Blues Series: Video 1
Beat the Winter Blues: Stay Active, Stay Connected
Winter weather can make it challenging to stay motivated and active—especially when icy roads and cold temperatures keep us indoors. That’s why, as part of our Core Values: Caring initiative this month, the Fulton County YMCA is launching a new exercise tip video series titled “Beat the Winter Blues.”
Led by Wellness Director Valentina Giardi, this series is designed to help you keep moving, boost your mood, and stay connected to your YMCA family—no matter the weather.
Fitness That Fits Your Home
Each video features simple, effective exercises that can be done right at home using everyday household items. Chairs, towels, walls, water bottles, balls and other common items become tools for movement, strength, and flexibility. These approachable workouts are ideal for all fitness levels and are perfect for days when getting to the Y just isn’t possible.
Caring for Body, Mind, and Spirit
Staying active during the winter months isn’t just about physical fitness. Regular movement can help reduce stress, improve energy levels, and support mental well-being during a season that can feel isolating for many. Through this series, we aim to remind our members that caring for yourself is an important part of caring for your community.
You’re Never Working Out Alone
Even when you’re exercising at home, you’re still part of something bigger. These videos are one more way we’re staying connected, supportive, and engaged with our members throughout the winter season.
Follow along with Valentina, try the exercises at your own pace, and remember—no matter where you are, your YMCA is here to support you.
Stay warm, stay active, and let’s beat the winter blues together.
