Celebrating Women’s History Month

Celebrating Women’s History Month at the Fulton County YMCA

Every March, the Fulton County YMCA joins organizations across the country in celebrating Women’s History Month—a time to recognize the countless contributions women have made to our communities, our country, and the world.

Women have long played an essential role in shaping healthier, stronger communities. From educators and leaders to caregivers, athletes, innovators, and volunteers, women continue to inspire positive change every day. Their leadership, resilience, and dedication have helped pave the way for future generations.

At the YMCA, empowering women and girls has always been part of our mission. Through programs that promote health, confidence, leadership, and community connection, the Y strives to provide opportunities for women of all ages to learn, grow, and thrive.

Throughout the month of March, the Fulton County YMCA will be highlighting stories, resources, and educational displays that celebrate the achievements of women throughout history and today. Members and visitors are encouraged to take a moment to explore these materials and reflect on the many ways women have shaped our communities.

Women’s History Month is also a great time to celebrate the incredible women within our own Y community—our staff, volunteers, instructors, members, and program participants who help make the Fulton County YMCA such a welcoming and supportive place for all.

We invite everyone to stop by the Y this month, learn more, and join us in celebrating the impact of women past and present.

Together, we continue building a community where everyone has the opportunity to reach their full potential.
